Today, Tomorrow, Forever...
My boyfriend and I had gotten into a really bad fight two days
before our anniversary. When the big day rolled around, I was
feeling very lonely until I went to leave work for lunch. He was
waiting outside on his street bike, which I love, with my
helmet. He asked if I would please go somewhere with him and of
course I did. He drove us to the place we first kissed. He sat
me down and told me to wait there for a minute. He came back
with three roses. He looked into my eyes and handed them to me
one by one. When he handed me the first one, he said, “I love
you today,” and the second one, “I'll love you tomorrow,” and
the third one, “I'll love you forever.” It was one of the best
moments of my life! -submitted by Jessica
Try This If You Haven’t Yet…
Carve your names in at least one place every city you visit
together...you can have a fun little vacation visiting them all
again later. Another good idea is to go out in the middle of a
field full of wild flowers somewhere, in the back of a truck
loaded with blankets and of course strawberries and whipped
cream. Have the person blindfolded until you get there, and then
set up a ton of fireworks around the truck...connect the wicks
so that you only have to light one to set them all off. But the
best thing of all is to get some washable paints and a huge
canvas, paint each others body from head to toe, and lay on the
canvas - one by one - so the print shows each of your bodies
next to each other. It will turn out to be the most romantic
night, exploring each other’s bodies, and have a wonderful
memento of it as well. -submitted by Tim
Twelve Days Before ... Romantic Gifts
For our first Christmas together I wanted to do something
special. So starting 12 days before Christmas I decided to get
memorabilia that would remind my boyfriend of things we've done
together. I got him things that I saved from our walks or things
I remembered he said to me. I baked him star cookies and on the
back of each one wrote a wish that I made on a star every night
about him or us. I made him things, I used my imagination.
Attached to each present was a letter explaining what it
reminded me of and started off by saying ... “On the first day
of Christmas my true love gave to me ....” He loved it so much
that he looked forward to them everyday, needless to say he was
sad when the 12th day arrived. I think now he has a better
understanding of just how much I care. This idea works for any
holiday or special occasion as well. -submitted by Anonymous
Ultimate Pick-Me-Up
I often drag my boyfriend to the mall and sometimes we stop at
jewelry stores and look at the pretty rings they are showcasing.
One afternoon, after a horrible day at school, I was called into
work. I was so upset that I cried. Later that evening, my
boyfriend showed up at closing time, with an armful of red
roses. As if this wasn't enough, when we finally closed up, he
was outside standing beside my car with another dozen roses,
these white. THEN- it gets better- he opened my car door for me,
and there was a dozen red and white roses on the driver’s seat
and a box. Inside the box was a sapphire ring I had been
admiring weeks earlier! Needless to say, it was the most
marvelous surprise I have ever had. He's definitely a keeper!

Love Under The Same Sky
One night when my boyfriend and I were apart, he was outside
with some of his friends. He turned to them and told them that
it made him so happy to know that somewhere under this same sky
is the love he is meant to be with. So for an inexpensive gift I
put glow-in-the dark stars all over his bedroom ceiling with a
note that said now you can always look up and think of your love
under that same sky. -submitted by Anonymous
Unforgettable Memories
Make a video of you visiting all of your firsts (like 1st kiss,
date, love making, or special anniversary) telling him/her how
much each first means now and how you felt then. At the end of
the video, confess your undying love for him/her. -submitted by

Victorian Love Letters
My guy and I have been dating for almost 2 months now, but I
know that he's the one for me. He's an auctioneer and we met at
an auction. We have just decided, since we both like Victorian
things, that we would write love letters and send them to each
other, complete with ribbons to tie them. We only live 30
minutes apart, but we thought this might make the days we can't
see each other go faster. I suggest this method for anyone,
because old-fashioned romance isn't dead. I've got the proof!

Video Memories
One of the best things I ever received from my girlfriend was a
video collage of the two of us together. The camera was always a
third party when we went out. It captured every moment that we
shared. From just hanging out on the beach, goofing around
together over the summer, and little clips of funny things that
we did together. She edited the tape and set it to music. Now
that I am in college and she is home all I need to do is watch
the tape and I am brought back to all the things we did. This is
easy to do too. Just bring the camera with you when you are
together, capture every moment and make a copy of the tape to
give to your lover. If you can't dub songs onto the tape just
make a tape of songs to play on the stereo while the other
watches the video. It will definitely bring a smile to the face.

Ways To Endure The Long Distance
My husband and I were separated for 2 years due to the military,
here are a few things we did to pass the time:
1. Spend one night a week as a date, played cards or games over
the internet or watched a movie "together" by renting the same
movie, timing it to start at the same time and talking on the
phone.
2 . Created a list of things to do together via email and passed
it back and worth. We have a list of 200 things now.
3. Read a couple's self-help book over the phone together (each
had a copy).
4. Sent flowers, heart shaped pizza, a gorilla with balloons,
took out a newspaper ad.
5. My husband snuck 17 note cards with sayings into different
parts of my luggage after a weekend together. I kept finding
notes in my shoes, books, etc.
6. Made gifts for each other; I typed out our wedding vows and
put them into a frame. He bought me a date book and marked
holidays, anniversaries, dates to be together and random love
notes throughout the year. I made a calendar with pictures of us
for the year. He made me a slide show of pictures for my
computer set to our songs.
7. Sent lots of cards and e-cards. One day I got 20 cards in the
mail from him!
8. Didn't care about the phone bill.
9. Reminded each other how much we were in love.

Welcome Home
My boyfriend had been away for a week, and I really wanted him
to know how much I missed him. So I found a few quotes about
love and wrote them on little pieces of paper. I laid them on
the stairs leading to the bedroom. I also got those little tea
light candles, and lit one in front of each quote. He called
when he was just about home, so I turned off all the lights. Not
only did my surprise lead to the bedroom, but also to a night
I'll never forget. -submitted by Anonymous |
